The Ultimate Quest: an alternative route to completion.

Please read what follows carefully and take it for what it is. Do not seek hidden messages in the instructions or rules. If you do, you will simply confuse matters.

1. The rules remain as originally published in The Ultimate Quest. Anyone wishing to complete the Quest in the manner specified is free to do so.

2. For those who wish to take an alternative route, here is the option. You must still correctly answer all five questions, as specified in the book. You must, in addition, find the answer to a sixth question that you will find printed in the next section.

 [Note: We believe that it would be unfair to those who are seeking to complete the Quest in the original manner if one element was removed and not replaced in some way. It would also be contrary to the tradition of questing if the 'journey' was shortened for some of you.]

3. When you have all six correct answers, you may then e-mail them to the address given. But please - no wild guesses; no approximations; no 'I think'. The answers to the questions are either right or wrong! We all know how to send e-mails, so please do not waste your time or ours by sending in guesses or questions. They will simply be deleted.

4. The fact that you send your answers does not guarantee that they will arrive. Any that are received will be read. If they contain answers to all six questions and appear to be genuine attempts to complete the Quest, they will be acknowledged. All others will be deleted, without any form of contact. We will not enter into any dialogue with those we acknowledge, other than in the manner originally specified in the book.

5. The rules of The Ultimate Quest are hereby modified, so that the first person to answer all questions correctly at the same time (by either route) will be deemed to have completed the Quest and be entitled to receive the reward for their endeavours.
